Seminole County Jail inmate back behind bars after escape

SEMINOLE COUNTY, Ga. (WTXL)--A Seminole County Jail inmate is back behind bars after investigators say he walked off a work detail at the sheriff's office and courthouse on Saturday.

It happened around 7:45 p.m. Benjamin Bland was arrested July 24 for felony theft by taking and misdemeanor theft by taking. He was held in jail for parole violation.

Bland was waiting to transfer back to the Georgia prison system on the parole violation.

He was arrested Monday morning in Decatur County.
