JERUSALEM (AP) — Israeli police say a rocket has landed in Israel two hours before the end of a temporary cease-fire in the Gaza war.

Police spokeswoman Luba Samri said a rocket landed Wednesday in an open area and that it caused no damage or injuries.

Egypt is mediating talks between Israel and Hamas meant to secure a long-term truce to the monthlong war.

A 72-hour cease-fire meant to allow time for negotiating a lasting truce is set to expire at midnight.
