TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Rebuild 850 held a toy drive Thursday for kids impacted by Hurricane Michael.
The founders of the organization said they're hoping to bring some normalcy to families who are still trying to recover.
Opening toys on Christmas morning can bring joy at a time when it's most needed.
Donations will be distributed through United Way to counties most affected by Hurricane Michael.
"We feel strongly that we need to give back to the community and the thing is that our purpose as human beings is to help each other out," said Gloria Pugh, CEO of AMWAT Moving Warehouse and Storage. "Our community our region is as strong as its weakest link and right now we got quite a few weak links in the chain and we need to help these individuals out."
Rebuild 850 launched Nov. 1 to help Florida's Panhandle.
