TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - A Tallahassee woman has been arrested on DUI charges after she crashed into a patrol car Wednesday night, sending two officers to the hospital.
Paige Gruzlewski, 36, has been charged with three counts of driving under the influence.
According to the Tallahassee Police Department, two officers were working a separate crash Wednesday night when Gruzlewski ran into one of the a patrol cars, causing the patrol car to hit the officers who were standing near it.
The officers were transported to the hospital where they were treated and later released.
"Thankfully, the officers will be fine but this could have been a tragedy," officials wrote in a Facebook post.
As of Thursday, Gruzlewski remains in jail. Bond has not been set for the DUI charges. She was due in court Thursday morning for a first appearance.
TPD is reminding drivers not to drink and drive. They are also reminding travelers to move over for stopped emergency vehicles.
