RIVIERA BEACH, Fla. (AP) - A man police suspect was trying to burglarize a South Florida gas station died after getting stuck in a rooftop vent.

Riviera Beach police spokeswoman Ruth Ann Brown said a gas station employee saw the man's legs dangling from the vent early Tuesday morning. Brown says the man may have suffocated because of low air flow, although the cause of death has not been determined.

The Palm Beach Post reports that authorities brought in a fire rescue crane to extract the body from the air vent.

The man's name was not immediately released.
