TALLAHASSEE, FL. (WTXL) - The son of a Leon County Commissioner is facing charges, accused of robbing a Pizza Hut delivery driver.
Jordan Proctor, 19, was arrested Monday night after police say he used a 12 gauge shotgun to rob a Pizza Hut delivery driver at The Lakes at San Marcos apartment complex.
Our media partners at The Tallahassee Democrat report Proctor is the son of Leon County Commissioner Bill Proctor.
"Proctor stated he was just hungry, he didn't have any money and that was why he did it," court documents said.
According to the arrest report, Tallahassee police say Proctor walked into the hallway, with a bandana over his face, after the driver knocked on his neighbor's door. Police say, Proctor then forced the driver to empty his pockets. Police later found the delivery order and shotgun in proctor's apartment.
Commissioner Proctor told our media partners at The Tallahassee Democrat that he and his family have been "praying mightily" since the arrest. The Democrat reports Proctor has not spoken to his son but saw him in court Tuesday.
"Everybody tries to give their child a good set of foot prints," Proctor said. "Each child must make their own path I guess."
