Participants needed for Tallahassee cancer study

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. -- The American Cancer Society is bringing a historic cancer prevention study to Tallahassee, and they're looking for volunteers.

The Cancer Prevention Study-3 (CPS-3) is a national effort to help researchers understand how to prevent cancer. Men and women between the ages of 30 and 65 with no personal history of cancer are invited to participate.

The organization hopes to enroll at least 300,000 adults from various racial and ethnic background from across the U.S. Locally, officials have set a goal of 500 participants in the Tallahassee area.

The study is scheduled to begin on Tuesday, April 2. The following is a list of enrollment locations:
