VALDOSTA, GA (WTXL) - The parents of Kendrick Johnson unveiled a documentary that raises questions about their son's death and the investigation surrounding it on Thursday.
He was found dead, rolled up in a gym mat in the school gym in January of last year. The federal investigation remains active. His parents have insisted from the beginning that their son was murdered.
The documentary, titled "Unfortunate: What Really Happened to Kendrick Johnson,"was revealed by filmmakers as well as his parents and their attorney, Benjamin Crump.
Meanwhile, they also called for the passage of "Kendrick's Law," which would require all coroners to be medically licensed.
Jacquelyn Johnson, Kendrick's mother, says that "we support the Kendrick law, and we want to leave a legacy behind in Kendrick's name for the world to see."
