PANACEA, Fla. (WTXL) - Happening this Saturday, the Second Annual Panacea Oyster Festival.

The festival was originally suppose to be in October, but due to Hurricane Michael had to be pushed back to February.

With the festival being such a big hit last year some oyster farmers believe that almost 24,000 oysters will be sold on just Saturday.

But the festival is the easy part, there is a lot of work that goes into getting the oysters ready.

We probably prepare for a month, a couple weeks solid, but really just a month because you know we want to showcase the best oysters we have, so it takes us a while to get them ready to make sure we have enough ready," said Denita Sassor, Owner of Outlaw Oyster Company. "We have to plan ahead with all of our sales to make sure we hold enough over for the festival."

The festival will start at 12:00 p.m. and go for about 6 hours.
