CRAWFORDVILLE, Fla. (WTXL) - A new Cannabis oil dispensary is open for business in Crawfordville. It's attracting customers from all over the area, even Georgia.
Extractshak CBD Wellness opened earlier this month. This dispensary is designed to help customers find relief from emotional and physical stress.
The manager, Vito Knowles, says CBD products have a big difference from medical marijuana.
"The benefits of using CBD versus using medical marijuana is you get the same medicinal benefit without getting stupid and stoned," Knowles said. "I don't know about the general public, but I know me and I don't like to get stoned, but I like for my back to quit hurting, my headaches to go away, and I like to sleep good at night. If that's what you're looking for in a product, I've got one for it."
Extractshak CBD Wellness is the first of its kind dispensary in the area that offers rubbable, smokable and edible forms of hemp products.
The number of people in the area looking for a natural way to treat pain is what motivated the owners to open up shop
"That's what made us open up because it was helping so many people," Knowles said. "We wanted to be able to spread that health and that help."
Jennifer Platt, who suffers from lupus, fibromyalgia and anxiety, says these products have made all the difference in treating her pain.
"Since I've started CBD oil prior to Vito opening the business, I've seen big results," Platt said. "I've taken less medications. The products really work."
Knowles encourages people who are hesitant to come and ask questions.
"Come in and see us," Knowles said. "If you have any questions we will answer them and we can hopefully get you feeling better with a better alternative."
