ATLANTA -- A brand of pet food is being voluntarily recalled due to a salmonella risk.

Leaders at the company posted an open letter to their website, listing  Innova, California Natural, EVO, Healthwise, Mother Nature and Karma as the affected brands. Consumers are asked to discard dry pet food and biscuit/bar/treat products with expiration dates prior to June 10, 2014.

The company decided to recall the products due to a single positive Salmonella test by the FDA on the products that were made on April 3.

Consumers who purchased the affected products can request a replacement voucher or refund by downloading the document on their website, www.naturapet.com. If you have any further questions, please contact them on their website, or call 800-224-6123.
