Actor Michael K. Williams has died.
He was 54.
The New York City police told the Associated Press that Williams was found dead Monday afternoon at his apartment in Brooklyn.
Authorities are investigating his death as a possible drug overdose, the AP reported.
The medical examiner is investigating the cause of death.
Williams received a 2021 Emmy nomination as Montrose Freeman in HBO’s "Lovecraft Country," THR reported.
The actor was also known for his other HBO roles in "The Wire," as Omar Little and Chalky White in "Boardwalk Empire."
