The National Hurricane Center says Tropical Storm Wilfred has formed in the Eastern Tropical Atlantic.
We are officially out of names in the regular alphabet to use, so that means the Greek Alphabet will be used for the rest of 2020.
Right now Wilfred has maximum sustained winds near 40 mph (65 km/h) with higher gusts.
Some slight strengthening is possible today, and weakening should start this weekend and continue into next week.
There are no coastal watches or warnings in effect at this time.
It's the last name on the 2020 Atlantic Tropical Cyclone list. Wilfred is way out in the Atlantic with winds at 40 mph. Now on to the Greek alphabet. @abc27 pic.twitter.com/cMw6RndJMV
