(WTXL) — Evangelist Franklin Graham, son of Rev. Billy Graham, is getting attention on social media after saying that President Trump will go down in history as “one of the great presidents of our nation.”

In a Facebook post shared Monday, he said he was grateful to God for Trump's presidency and touted the president's accomplishments, praising what he calls the protection of "religious liberties," Trump's staunch opposition of abortion, his defense of the police, and standing against “the swamp."

"So as we come to the end of this election season, I look back with a grateful heart and thank God for all of these things," Graham wrote.

Graham also called it “unfortunate” that many Americans "got confused and made the election about personalities rather than the policies of the candidates."

"President Trump will go down in history as one of the great presidents of our nation, bringing peace and prosperity to millions here in the U.S. and around the world," Graham wrote.

Graham's comments come a day after a now-viral tweet from Christian author and evangelist Beth Moore, who called out "Trumpism" as being "astonishingly seductive & dangerous to the saints of God."

"And, God help us, we don’t turn from Trumpism to Bidenism," Moore wrote. "We do not worship flesh and blood. We do not place our faith in mortals. We are the church of the living God."

Both Graham's and Moore's social media posts have prompted thousands of comments from supporters and dissenters alike.
