MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- Jerome Turner has been appointed Interim Chief of Police for the Midway Police Department.
This comes nearly 3 months after the former Chief of Police, Terron R. Lindsey was arrested and charged with official misconduct and one count of petit theft.
Chief Turner released the following statement: "My key objectives are to re-establish relationships with citizens that focus on community policing and addressing the needs of the community in which we serve, while ensuring that all police services are efficient and highly effective given any fiscal condition."
