MARIANNA, Fla. (WTXL) - The Marianna Police Department has arrested the owner of a convenience store accused of selling kits to cook meth.

Sabirali Saboowalla, who owns the Big and Little store at 4153 Lafayette St., was arrested Friday, according to a police department news release.

Searching the store, investigators found 100 percent household lye, lighter fuel, cold packs and lithium batteries - all sold as a kit to make methamphetamine.

Investigators said they also found glass smoking pipes sold solely to ingest methamphetamine and a quantity of prescription medication. All the items being illegally sold were seized.

Police took Saboowalla, 44, to the Jackson County Correctional Facility to await a first court appearance.

He has been charged with two counts of possession or distribution of listed chemicals, possession of controlled substances without a prescription, and retail distribution of drug paraphernalia.
