WAKULLA COUNTY, FL (WTXL) - The Wakulla County Fire Rescue responded to a fire in a third floor room at the Wildwood Inn just after midnight on Tuesday.
According to the fire rescue, Wakulla County Sheriff's Office deputies arrived and evacuated the building.
The fire rescue says that the on duty desk manager got access to the room where the fire was located and helped the lone occupant of the room, who was in a wheelchair, by carrying the man downstairs from the third floor.
Crews say that the man was evaluated after evacuating, but was not transported to a hospital.
The fire is still under investigation.
