UPDATE, 3:20p.m. 10/9/14 (WTXL) - Howard's arraignment hearing was Thursday, where he was released from jail on $100,000 bond which covers all charges.
According to the Lowndes County Magistrate Court, court date information for Howard is not yet available.

LOWNDES CO., Ga. (WTXL) - The Lowndes County Sheriff's Office (LCSO) arrests a man on possession of drug and drug paraphernalia charges.
On Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2014, investigators with the LCSO Special Operations Division served a search warrant at a home located at 827 East Brookwood Place in Valdosta. According to LCSO spokesperson Lt. Stryde Jones, investigators found about 3.3 grams of cocaine, with a street value just over $400, scales and bags used for weighing and packaging drugs and a handgun that had been previously reported stolen in a 2009 burglary.
In addition, investigators arrested the homeowner, James Edward Howard, 39, and took him to the Lowndes County Jail on several charges, including possession of cocaine, manufacturing crack cocaine, possession of tools for the commission of a crime, criminal attempt to distribute cocaine and theft by receiving stolen property.
