VALDOSTA, Ga. (WTXL) -- An 11-year-old boy has been arrested after starting a fire at Lowndes Middle School.
Lowndes County deputies say after being dared by a friend, the 11 year old student started a fire early Wednesday afternoon in the bathroom at Lowndes Middle School, located at 2370 Copeland Road.
The juvenile, whose name is not being released, has been charged with second-degree Arson and is currently in the custody of the Georgia Department of Juvenile Justice. Additional arrests may be possible.
