Gadsden County man facing murder charges after fight

QUINCY, Fla. (WTXL) -- Charges have been upgraded against a Gadsden County man involved in a now fatal fight on May 30.

Assistant Chief Glenn Sapp with the Quincy Police Department says Gregory Lamar Harris is now charged with second degree murder.

Investigators say on May 30 Harris was involved in a fight with Glenn Holley, 41 of Quincy, on the 300 block of Valley Drive. Officer say when they arrived they found Holley bleeding from the head and was unresponsive. Officer say they believe during the fight Harris picked a near by stick from the ground and hit Holley in the head.

Holley was taken to Tallahassee Memorial Hospital were he later died on June 10.

Harris is still being held in the Gadsden County Jail.
