TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL)-- Florida A&M University’s Athletic Director has issued an apology to the community. This apology comes after terminating the school’s head football coach, Earl Holmes during homecoming.

Coach Holme's first season with the Rattler’s ended with a 3-9 record. The team lost the first five games in 2013-2014 season before finally pulling off two wins.

Yesterday, Athletic Director, Kellen Winslow issued this apology promising to be more “collaborative” when making decisions.

“Upon my arrival, It was evident that we had numerous issues that required immediate attention. And I focused my energies on addressing those issues. Some of my actions were conveyed in a manner that were inconsistent with my goals and objectives and offended some members of the Rattler community. For those I have offended, I offer my sincerest apologies”
