TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) -- Chief Meteorologist Casanova Nurse returned to the Brandon's Place preschool at Lincoln Center in Tallahassee to contribute to the annual "Thanks for Reading" series at the Early Head Start educational center operated by Kids Incorporated of the Big Bend.

Casanova was one of several community volunteers who read various children's books to preschool classes around the Big Bend region, emphasizing the importance of, the the joy in, reading at an early age.

Cas read I Was Walking and The Little Mouse, the Red Ripe Strawberry, and the Big Hungry Bear to six kids and their teachers at the Brandon's Place classroom.  The book described colors, animals, and behavioral skills.

This was Casanova's fifth consecutive year as a volunteer reader in the event.
