TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - New gadgets are now on-display at the Lighthouse of the Big Bend, all to assist people suffering from vision loss.
It's for the Lighthouse of the Big Bend Techno Demo Day.
Vendors from across the region were on-hand to explain and demonstrate various products including magnifiers to help read to a machine that will tell you the value of the bill you insert into it.
Thursday's event ran until 3 p.m. at the Lighthouse of the Big Bend, just off Capital Circle Northeast.
"I think there happy to have the opportunity to come in and try things out because unfortunately a lot of these things are pretty expensive so when you get an opportunity to come out, put your hands on something, and see if this really what works best for you, it's a great opportunity," said Wayne Warner with Lighthouse of the Big Bend.
This is Lighthouse of the Big Bend's seventh year sponsoring this event.
