QUINCY, Fla. (WTXL) — One local young fisherman's big catch has grabbed the eyes of thousands on social media.
Kemari Cooper, who lives in Quincy, was fishing with his dad when he caught the biggest bass in his life: A seven-pounder.
The video is up to 18,000 views on Youtube. People just can't get enough of his joy.
Cooper says it was all because he used a lucky black worm to catch the fish. He says there's nothing like reeling in a big one like that with his dad by his side.
"I said. 'Daddy, this a big one,' and it was just a moment of a lifetime when I had pulled that fish in and I had not expected to get a big fish like that," said Cooper.
Instead of taking the catch home for dinner, Kemari rubbed its scales, told it go grow bigger, and put the bass back in the water ... but not before saying "one day we're going to meet again."
