(WTXL) — The Wakulla County School District has been named as the top public school district in Florida, according to a recent study.
According to recent report, the Wakulla County School District ranked number one as the top school district in the state.
Wakulla County School District consists of four elementary schools, two middle schools, one high school and one charter school. According to the Florida Department of Education, the district has an “A” grade.
Suwannee County School District took the third spot for one of the top school districts in Florida, followed by Gilchrist County.
Jackson, Lafayette, Liberty, Madison, Taylor, Franklin, and Hamilton school districts also made the list.
Researchers say the analysis covers a variety of metrics for over 10,000 schools, highlighting the districts that have produced and fostered the highest-quality educational environments for its students.
The organization's school district rankings were determined by assessing metrics like student-to-teacher ratio, standardized test scores, teacher quality, graduation rate, and school funding.
In addition, data was gathered from databases at the National Center for Education Statistics and the U.S. Department of Education.
