Sunday morning crashes leave 2 dead, 1 injured in Tallahassee

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — Two people are dead and one is injured following two separate crashes on Sunday morning in Tallahassee.

The first fatal crash happened just before 2 a.m. at the intersection of Continental Avenue and Ocala Road and was a two car accident, according to the Tallahassee Police Department.

One male victim died as a result of his injuries from the crash, and a second victim is in serious condition.

The crash is still under investigation, TPD said, and asks anyone who may have witnessed the crash, but did not speak with an officer on scene, or anyone with information about the accident to please call 850-891-4200 and ask to speak with the Traffic Homicide Unit.

They may also remain anonymous by calling Crime Stoppers at 850-574-TIPS.

The second fatal crash happened around 8 a.m. near the Baum Road overpass on I-10, and the male victim has yet to be identified.

Troopers said that the vehicle ran off the right side of the road and collided with a tree on the north shoulder of the interstate.

The driver of the vehicle died from his injuries, troopers said.
