TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — The Tallahassee Police Department added a new officer to their team, a one-year-old.
Jon Jon the bloodhound has been with the department for two weeks, and recently completed his first track, helping find a 13-year-old girl.
Handler Paul Osborn, who is also new to the K-9 unit says working and saving lives with Jon Jon has been an incredible experience
"He's a great tool, an incredible dog with skills I could have never imagined, and the opportunity to increase the likelihood of saving individuals who are missing is just an amazing opportunity," said Osborn.
When he's not tracking missing persons, Jon Jon likes to play in the yard with his siblings and loves doggy ice cream.
After traveling three miles he safely located the juvenile. We are so grateful to have such a dedicated K9. Lets give a paw praise to Jon Jon for his great work. 🐾 pic.twitter.com/qYdg68aSDN
