TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — A 24-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a deadly shooting on Mission Road in late May.

Anthony McInnis, 24, has been charged with homicide and robbery with a firearm in connection to a shooting in the 2600 block of Mission Road on May 29.

On that day, TPD responded to the area and found a deceased adult male victim who had been shot.

Through an investigation, TPD investigators identified McInnis as a suspect and obtained a search warrant for his home, as well as for a DNA sample.

Police said they took McInnis into custody after he came out of his apartment Pullen Road. When officers attempted to make contact with him, he tried to run aay but was subdued with a TASER. After being taken into custody, a stolen handgun was located in his pocket.
