TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — The Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare Foundation celebrated National Philanthropy Day by hosting a luncheon.
Each year, TMH and the 'Big Bend Chapter Association of Fundraising Professionals' recognizes and pays tribute to the great contributions that dedicated philanthropists and those active in charities, have made in Tallahassee and North Florida.
"The things that go unseen in this community don't need to be kept a secret their people doing amazing work and anytime you can highlight someone giving their time or their talents or their funds or funding to support something you have to recognize that most of them wouldn't ask for it but we feel its a worth wild adventure," said President Charlie Adams.
There were a number of awards handed out Thursday, including a 'Lifetime Achievement Award' and 'Philanthropist of the Year award.'
