LEON COUNTY, Fla. — A local teen has been arrested after a grand theft auto warrant led deputies to finding he was also in possession of a stolen gun.
A 17-year-old was arrested by the Leon County Sheriff's Office on Wednesday.
On Wednesday afternoon, LCSO detectives with the Auto Crimes Task Force along with the SPIDER Unit located and arrested a 17-year-old for an active grand theft auto warrant.
During the course of the investigation it was discovered that the teenager was in possession of a stolen Sig Sauer 9mm firearm.
The 17-year-old is being charged with grand theft of a motor vehicle, grand theft of a firearm, and possession of a firearm by delinquent.
He was taken to the Leon County Detention Facility.
