TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Tallahassee Community College wants to increase skilled workers in our area.
That's why they're launching their TCC2Work Initiative.
The school wants to bring awareness to the more than 70 workforce focused programs at the college.
They range from firefighters to cybersecurity personnel to welders.
The Florida Chamber of Commerce and the Tallahassee Chamber of Commerce have both said there's a need for skilled workers in the area. TCC wants to fill that need.
"It's critically important to make sure the employers in our community have the talent they need to be productive and profitable," said Jim Murdaugh, President of TCC.
The initiative is also addressing Governor Ron DeSantis's executive order that urges Florida to increase its rank in the nation for workforce and technical training programs.
DeSantis wants that to happen by 2030.
