TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTX) — Tallahassee Community College, kicking off its virtual International Education Week.
Now in its 15th year, the week celebrates diversity on their campus, and organizers encourage the community to get involved.
Even though they weren't able to participate in their annual parade of nations in person, students like Akim Arrendale donated virtual flags on Zoom to start the week-long celebration.
"This event is actually a very big event because all our international students come together to share what's the what makes their country so great," said Akim Arrendale, and International TCC student.
Students held a virtual parade Monday morning on Zoom.
They've also found creative remote ways to host a World Chef Cooking Demonstration, World Trivia, and World Tour.
