TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — The Salvation Army is collecting car donations to help families across the Big Bend. To donate, you call the Salvation Army to set up a pick-up time.
The car is taken from your home straight to an auction where the car is sold.
After auction fees, the rest of the money goes towards the Salvation Army.
Captain Stephan Wildish with the Tallahassee Salvation Army said that money helps to keep the organization going.
"We might get maybe five to ten a year. Back in October, we got a boat donated to us. It was a sailboat. That was pretty interesting," said Captain Wildish.
