TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — While sitting in Cascades Park on Saturday, Tallahassee's leadership will listen to the LGBTQ+ community.
Mayor John Dailey along with the newly established LGBTQ+ Advisory Council will hear suggestions from the community on how to make Tallahassee a more accepting place.
They will tackle issues like gender equality, homelessness, and other struggles the community faces.
"Ensuring that there are services specifically tailored to LGBTQ+ youth and members of the community who may be experiencing homelessness or unemployment, so those are areas where we would like to solicit more input from the community," said Andy Janoceck, the chairman of the LGBTQ+ Advisory Council.
The discussion will take place at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday at Cascades Park.
