TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Tallahassee International Airport officially has a new director.
On Friday, City Manager Reese Goad announced David Pollard is the new director of the city's Aviation Department.
Pollard has been the interim director of the airport and has 26 years of experience. He was also in the Marine Corps for 22 years.
Pollard says he's excited for what lies ahead.
"It feels great, I'm looking forward to the opportunities that lie ahead for the Tallahassee International Airport and the things that we can do to affect the things out here, make a more positive travel experience for our travelers and also create and stimulate more growth and development for the airport," said Pollard.
Pollard was recently recognized as Air Carrier Airport Manager of the Year for the FAA's Southern Region.
