TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — While some businesses have struggled through the pandemic, one local florist says things have picked up, and not just because Valentine's day is near.
A Country Rose Florist in Tallahassee has seen its business increase since the start of the pandemic. Assistant Manager Chelsea Finch says people are buying flowers as a substitute for being able to see their loved ones.
"We usually are slow for the summer and we didn't get slow at all. I think people really like to be able to send stuff to people they care for but aren't able to see. A lot of people can't visit their friends. It's a nice way to show you're thinking of them without having to be around them," said Finch.
The business will host a sidewalk sale on Valentine's Day weekend.
