TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — You may remember a sweet father-son fishing moment out of our area that went viral.
About a week ago, we showed you the video of Kemari Cooper's dad taking him fishing, where Kemari caught the biggest bass in his life: A seven pounder!
His reaction is what caught love from you at home and now, it's caught the attention of Bass Pro Shops in Tallahassee.
When the manager of Bass Pro Shops in Tallahassee saw the video of Kemari Cooper reeling in "the big one," and then letting it go, he wanted to give Kemari another surprise.
They asked Kemari and his family to come to the store Monday, where they presented him with his own baitcaster: a Johnny Morris Signature Series reel and a pro-qualifier rod.
Kemari also got some Bass Pro Shops goodies and other fishing items. The young boy's gratitude continues to melt hearts!
On top of that, Pro staff Gary Atkinson surprised him by offering him a future fishing trip with him on his Nitro. Gary says he can't wait for "hook set," as he nicknamed him, to show him a thing or two about fishing.
