TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — Those cardboard egg cartons in your fridge can do more than house your breakfast.
A Tallahassee Animal Shelter is asking for those egg cartons.
The Animal Shelter will use them to keep the dogs in the shelter busy.
With fewer people coming in because of COVID-19 the shelter is looking for more ways to keep the dogs busy.
"We put some interesting things with different smells and textures in each of the sections," said Michael St. John, the assistant director of Tallahassee Animal Services. "We may put kibble in one, wet food, maybe some cheese whiz. It gives them something to play with, to look at, to chew up, to tear up. Something to do in their kennels and we don't have to monitor them the whole time. "
You can drop the donations off at the front door of the shelter at 1125 Easterwood Drive.
