TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — Widening Adult Vital Experiences spent Friday handing out 'sunshine bags' to adults with intellectual disabilities.
The need to help those with intellectual disabilities does not stop because of a pandemic.
Executive Director of WAVE, Terri Sue Aldridge Lawson, says they received a cash donation from a private donor to buy the items for the bags.
"One, a stress ball, a really cool stress ball," said Lawson. "If anything, you can have something in your hands to get that frustration out. And then we also have playing cards, mini domino sets, a mini activity pad, and a do it yourself, design it yourself puzzle."
WAVE has 100 bags to giveaway.
Lawson says as long as they can get donors to help fund the sunshine bag giveaway they will keep handing them out.
