MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) — On any given week Second Harvest of the Big Bend serves over 1,200 families across the area.

Their free food distributions help families put food on the table.

On Thursday their big truck full of fruits, vegetables and even turkey was at the Lamb Temple of God in Midway.

All drivers had to do was pull up and volunteers would take it from there.

"Without the volunteers, we can't do this on our own," said Willie and Lashawnda Lamb, pastors at the Lamb Temple of God. "So we've been doing this about three or four years now. It's been a blessing to us as well as the community and whoever comes out. There's no discrimination. Whoever comes out you just come and get the free food."

Over 50 cars benefited from Thursday's food distribution.

The Lamb Temple of God also does a farm-share every Monday.
