GADSDEN COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) — Gadsden County families are getting help from Second Harvest of the Big Bend with another food drive.

A long line of cars rolled through the Lamb Temple Senior Citizen Center.

Food drives are continuing to provide families with fresh produce, meat, and canned goods.

Since the start of the pandemic, the need to keep families fed has increased.

One woman in line, Gayle Hinson, says she underestimated how much the pandemic would impact the community.

"Never thought the need would be this great, sure didn't," said Hinson. "But we appreciate it, and we're just going to try to keep going with the help of the lord."
