TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — Second Gentleman Douglas Emhoff visited Tallahassee Thursday on the first stop of the Biden Administration's "month of action" vaccine-rollout national tour.

The husband of Vice President Kamala Harris was promoting the White House's goal to have 70-percent of all adult Americans partially vaccinated by July 4.

"As the president mentioned the other day 90-percent of Americans have a vaccine site within five miles of your house and with free rides, again, no excuses to get this thing done," said Emhoff.

The Second Gentleman also talked of the impact that getting to that 70 percent number would have on people in America.

"In order to get fully back to going to the sporting events and the weddings and all the things people want to do this summer and get back to school in the fall and go back to the movie theater we're not going to be able to do that unless we hit those numbers," said Emhoff.

Emhoff also met with Tallahassee city leaders, saw a vaccination at Neighborhood Medical Center and then participated in a roundtable discussion.
