TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — We're less than a week away from the New Year and many donation centers are preparing for lots of donations.
Just in time to get a last minute tax write-off, places like Goodwill and the Salvation Army are preparing to accept their highest volume of donations.
You can donate clothes, shoes, furniture, toys, and even a car. The Salvation Army is asking for people to bring in those donations.
They'll even continue to accept money to put towards the Red Kettle Campaign.
"We fell short of our goal. We raised about a $175,000. Our goal was $185,000. Most of that is due to the shortened, abbreviated Christmas season this year."
As long as you donate before New Year's Day, you'll be able to get a tax write-off.
