TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — A couple of months ago the Leon County School Board cut the ribbon on new athletic fields.
On Thursday, a new building has been added to Rickards High School.
The new building is filled with state of the art classrooms. School officials say that this new building allows students to have the same opportunities that students at other schools have.
Leon County Superintendent Rocky Hanna is very excited about this project.
"I am blown away right now, this is a special day for me. I made a commitment to this community three years ago when I took office to transform the campus here at Rickards High School," said Hanna. "This is part of making good on that commitment and we're not finished yet, we're halfway."
Hanna says that this is only phase two of four for Rickards High School.
