TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — A man has been arrested in connection to a shooting at Adams Place Apartments that sent one person to the hospital.
Ruben Goodson, 25, was arrested by the Tallahassee Police Department on Tuesday.
Goodson was taken into custody by TPD’s Career Criminal Unit and the U.S. Marshall’s Task Force, at his home, and taken to TPD for questioning.
It was found that Goodson is currently on probation/community control for Possession of Substance with Intent to Sell and Possession of Firearm by Delinquent.
Investigators with the Violent Crimes Unit conducted a search of Goodson’s home, and found an AR-15 styled rifle and 391 grams of suspected cannabis.
Goodson was taken to the Leon County Detention Facility for processing.
He is being charged with:
- Attempted/Homicide- Premeditated
- Possession of Weapon or Ammo by a Convicted Felon
- Aggravated Battery Person Uses a Deadly Weapon
- Violation of Probation or Community Control
- VOP/Possession of Weapon or Ammo by a Convicted Felon
One person has been hospitalized after a shooting at Adams Place Apartments early Tuesday morning.
At approximately 2:11 a.m., TPD responded to a shooting at Pointe at Adams Place Apartments located at 3000 South Adams Street.
Upon their arrival, officers located one victim suffering from a gunshot wound. That victim was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and is currently in stable condition.
