UPDATE 12/12/2022: According to TPD, after a thorough investigation, it was determined there was insufficient evidence to substantiate a criminal charge in the case involving a pedestrian being hospitalized due to a traffic crash on Oct. 21. The pedestrian succumbed to his injuries on Nov. 7.
TPD says their traffic homicide unit submitted all evidence and findings to the State Attorney's Office (SAO) and the decision was in consultation with the SAO.
The case is now closed.
INITIAL STORY:
A pedestrian has been taken to the hospital with serious injuries following a traffic crash Friday morning.
According to the Tallahassee Police Department, the crash occurred at 7 a.m. in the 500 block of Appleyard Drive on Oct. 21.
Roads have reopened.
