NYE crash leaves 1 dead, 1 seriously injured

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — A man is dead after a single-car crash near the intersection of Pensacola and Macomb Streets.

The Tallahassee Police Department says they responded to the crash just before midnight on New Year's Eve.

According to the report, the driver was traveling south on Macomb Street when he failed to negotiate the curve. The driver crossed the roadway and continued over an embankment before striking a nearby parking lot tree.

The vehicle’s driver, an adult male, died as a result of injuries.

There were four other occupants in the vehicle at the time of the crash, three adult males and one adult female. One of the adult male passengers sustained serious injuries.
