TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — Military veterans and a GOP leader on marijuana partnered Tuesday to stop a cap on THC for medical cannabis.

THC creates the high in weed.

Recently, the House Speaker mentioned an interest in creating a 10 percent cap. The drug can be used to treat chronic pain and other illnesses.

Air Force member Henry Cobbs treated his cancer with CBD and warned further restrictions on medical marijuana were dangerous.

"We're allowing bureaucratic and political decision making a doctor and patient relationship," said Cobbs. "It makes absolutely no sense."

So far, no bills have been proposed to carry the cap.
