TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — One of Tallahassee's oldest black churches is starting a program that will help women who have fallen on hard times.

Philadelphia PB Church is using its non-profit foundation to launch the Women With Worth Campaign.

The goal is to help women living in poverty and those in jail with education, employment, and housing assistance.

But they also want to help them with life skills, coping skills and leadership skills. The group's CEO says she hopes to impact and help as many women as possible.

"I really want to be out there, changing as many lives as possible, really hitting the streets because we have a lot of women out there, where they're walking the streets or just not where they would like to be in life," said Dominique Moore, CEO of Women With Worth Campaign. "Those are the type of women that we want to pull on, and give them a better opportunity."

Wednesday was an opportunity to bring in community leaders who can help further the program, like Commissioner Diane Williams-Cox, as well as a representative from Commissioner Bill Proctor's office, a rep for TCC, social workers from the Gadsden County Jail, and students from the social work program at FSU.

The program officially starts on March 1.
