TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — A reminder for parents of children in Leon County Schools.
The last day for school choice requests is Monday, March 1.
Those interested in sending students to schools other than those for which they are zoned will need to submit a request on the district website by clicking here.
"As of today we've had right at 4,000 for school choice applications come in to the office of school choice," said Leon County Schools Superintendent Rocky Hanna. "We'll expect there'll be about another thousand come in at the last minute over the weekend. We'll go through those requests to start looking at numbers and how many seats are open at each individual school. "
The district will make final decisions over the course of the next month.
